2021 National Innovators Forum Entrepreneurship Academy

The National Innovators Forum Entrepreneurship Academy (NIF) was hosted and delivered by the staff and faculty from the Mike and Rene Child Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The NIF is based on the Institute's flagship Entrepreneurship Academy that has helped faculty, staff, students, and postdocs raise more than $2 Billion in investment capital. VISION Faculty Fellows were joined by dozens of faculty, postdocs, and doctoral students of color from around the country at the NIF, made possible in part through support from the NSF-funded PROMISE Engineering Institute and VISION program. Some of the more than 20 sessions at the forum included insights into intellectual property, pitching your idea, and market validation. Participants engaged in one-on-one (virtual) mentoring meetings with industry experts.
